In August 2018, CAORC’s J.M. Kaplan Responsive Preservation Initiative sponsored a ten-day workshop by the IWAN Center for Architectural Heritage in Gaza to train local museum staff, heritage professionals, and private collectors in emergency restoration and protection of ancient pottery damaged or threatened by conflict.
This video, produced by the IWAN Center, highlights the workshop’s accomplishments, including the creation of Gaza’s first rapid-response team for safeguarding pottery and other artifacts affected by war. (In Arabic.)
